- Rod Serling - Check the end of any Twilight Zone episode, it credits Cayuga Productions, named after our wonderful lake! Serling wrote many episodes here and taught at Ithaca College.
- Carl Sagan - The astronomer famous for his PBS series Cosmos.
- Gavin McLeaod - Captain Stubing from The Love Boat attended the drama program at Ithaca college.
- Christopher Reeve - This super man graduated from Cornell University.
- Gillian Anderson - Dana Scully on the FOX series The X Files took summer courses at Cornell.
- John Lithgow - From the Twilight Zone and many other movies. Currently starring in the NBC hit Third Rock from the Sun
