Police investigating Tuesday night robbery at Ithaca’s Byrne Dairy store

The Ithaca Police Department has released video stills captured of a suspect described as a skinny white male who fled after a robbery at the Byrne Dairy store in Ithaca’s west end on Tuesday night.

Police say they responded to the convenience store at 215 North Meadow Street at 10:50pm and took a report from the store clerk, who said “the suspect entered the store, pointed a handgun at him, and demanded all of the money in the register and all of the Newport cigarettes in the store.”

Store security cameras captured images of the suspect, described as “a white male, about 5’8″ tall, skinny build, light colored eyelashes, and blue eyes.” He was wearing a face mask and a light grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood covering his face, according to police.
