The Cornell University Police Department says a man has been arrested and charged with burglary and other crimes in three incidents that occurred in October. 55-year-old John S. Gould turned himself in this week after warrants were issued for his arrest.
A statement from CUPD says “investigators were able to identify John S. Gould as a suspect related to a theft from an office in Weill Hall on Oct. 28, and trespassing in Bradfield Hall of Oct. 28, and in Comstock Hall on Oct. 31.”
Ithaca City Court issued warrants on December 6 for Gould’s arrest, and he turned himself in on December 14, Cornell says. He was arraigned on charges of third-degree burglary, attempted petit larceny, and two counts of trespass, and remanded to Tompkins County Jail without bail. He’s due back in court at 9am on Monday.
