Route 93, which serves the Cornell campus and Ithaca’s east hill every evening, has switched to its “snow route” for Thursday evening due to wintry weather forecasts that could road conditions slippery.

The snow route skips the northwest corner of the route, which covers Thurston Avenue and a portion of Stewart and University Avenues, and detours directly from north campus to west campus via University Ave.

The snow route also skips the southeast corner of the route, which goes up Snyder Hill Road and through the Eastern Heights neighborhood.

Route 92 has a similar route that only goes as far southeast as East Hill Plaza. The Route 92 snow route skips the northwest corner of the Route, which covers Thurston Avenue and a portion of Stewart and University Avenues, and detours directly from north campus to west campus via University Ave.

The unexpected service outage could leave area commuters with no way to get home at the end of the day. TCAT representatives have not responded to multiple requests for comment.
