Under the direction of Dr. James Mick, the Ithaca Community Orchestra will perform the premiere of Ithaca composer Josh Oxford’s Concerto for Electric Guitar, featuring guitarist Michael Caporizzo.

The program will also feature Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, movement H, and Stravinsky’s Berceuse and Finale from The Firebird.

Ithaca Community Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and this concert is supported by a grant from the Community Arts Partnership and funds from the Decentralization Grant, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts.

A recommended donation of $7 will be accepted at the door (children are admitted free), and attendees will be invited to a reception right after the concert. The Hangar Theatre is at 801 Taughannock Boulevard in Ithaca’s west end.
