A weekend full of girls hockey kicks off Friday afternoon as the Tompkins Girls Hockey Association hosts a three-day tournament at Ithaca’s Cass Park and Lansing’s The Rink. It’s the 18th annual Shooting Stars tourney.

Championship games in each age group will be played on Sunday.

The Ithaca Shooting Stars program is fielding teams at the 12-and-under, 14-and-under, and 19-and-under age groups.

Organizers have several TGHA branded fundraising items for sale, including car stickers and cell phone card holders, and there will be several items from local businesses being raffled off. All fundraising proceeds will benefit the Tompkins Girls Hockey Association.
