School delays on Tuesday morning turn to closings

Dryden Central School District is closed for the day on Tuesday “due to the continuing snow, heavy drifts, and poor road conditions and visibility.” They were originally on a two-hour delay.

Intermittent power outages earlier this morning and worsening road conditions led Lansing Central School District to close for the day, as well. Lansing was originally on a two-hour delay.

Moravia Central School District is closed for the day on Tuesday.

Marathon Central School District is opening on a two-hour delay.

Homer Central Schools are on a two-hour delay.

Cortland City Schools are on a two-hour delay.

Whitney Point Central School District is on a two-hour delay.

Remember to clear all the snow off your car, especially all lights and windows, and turn on your lights when driving in bad weather.

Ithaca Fire Department reminds everyone to shovel out fire hydrants near their homes and businesses so they can be seen and accessed if they’re needed.
