A Trumansburg native and Lodi resident died Wednesday night in a one-car crash in the Town of Ulysses last night, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department. Tamila Rae Creedon was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded at about 11:23pm last night to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Pudunk Road, near Trumansburg. They found Creedon’s blue 2006 Subaru in a wooded area along the east side of the road south of Swamp College Road, and determined that the 25-year-old’s vehicle “was traveling north on Podunk Road when the vehicle left the roadway, struck several trees, and came to rest where it was located by deputies.”
Creedon, who had worked at Daño’s Heuriger on Seneca, was the lone occupant of the vehicle. The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit. The statement from the Sheriff’s Department says they were assisted at the scene by New York State Park Police, Trumansburg Police Department, Trumansburg Volunteer Fire Department, and Bangs Ambulance.
