“It’s getting cold in North Dakota,” say the folks from Macro Mamas. The longtime Ithaca Farmers Market vendor is collecting warm wool socks to send to water protectors “who are helping to protect our most valuable resource, water,” they say.
“Our water protectors could use some added warmth,” say organizers of the drive, who will send them “to our relations in North Dakota” who are protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Brand new wool socks can be dropped off at the Macro Mamas booth at the Ithaca Farmers Market, booth number 5, from 10am-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of November. “Any color, any size.”
