Expect Route 13 delays in Ithaca’s west end due to striping work

A roadway striping contractor “will be painting crosswalks, stop bars and traffic symbols” on Route 13 in Ithaca’s west end on Thursday and Friday, according to the City of Ithaca.

Painting will occur along Route 13 between the intersection of Willow and Dey Streets near the Haunt, and the intersection of Seneca Street with both Fulton and Meadow Streets, on both northbound and southbound lanes. There will also be painting work on Green Street and Seneca Street near their intersections with Route 13.

Work will start around 7am and end around 6pm both days. “Motorists should expect temporary lane closures and delays, and are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible,” say city officials.
