Syracuse woman arrested for weapon possession after late-night robbery

Ithaca Police say a Syracuse woman faces charges for possessing an illegal handgun and for robbing Chuck’s Mobil early Saturday morning. 36-year-old Allison J. Burgess is in IPD custody awaiting arraignment.

A release from the Ithaca Police Department says they responded to Chuck’s Mobil, a gas station and convenience store on Route 13 in Ithaca’s west end, at 4:08am Saturday for a larceny complaint. The store clerk provided a description of the female suspect who had fled the scene, and officers found a woman matching the description in the 1000 block of West State Street.

Police located a handgun on the suspect, Allison J. Burgess, and she was positively identified by the complainant, IPD says. She has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and petit larceny.
