Road closures on East Hill and in Collegetown could mean a slow summer for lots of businesses, but that’s not stopping Rulloff’s! They’re kicking off a summer series of Friday beverage pairing dinners tonight.
The first dinner features wines by Six Mile Creek Vineyard, Ithaca’s own winery, paired with a watermelon gazpacho to start, then a choice of main course such as kale and spinach ravioli with chicken, steak frites, grilled salmon with farro salad, or wild mushroom risotto, followed by dessert.
Chef Ragen Daly tells us he’s moving Rulloff’s “towards a more veggie-forward approach” with his new menu, and the wine pairing dinners will reflect that: there will always be at least one vegetarian option.
Future weeks will featuring beverage pairings with Hosmer Winery, Black Diamond Cider, Good Nature Brewing, Damiani Winery, Myer Farm Distillers, and more.
The three-course dinners are just $25, or $30 with the optional drink pairing. Rulloff’s is at 411 College Avenue in Collegetown. That block is closed for about two months, but with many students out of town, it’s not hard to find street parking, which is free after 6pm, nearby.
