If the Ithaca Ale House or Fargo Bar & Grill in nearby Aurora have your favorite burgers, take a moment to vote for them as Central New York’s Best Burger! The nominations are in, and it’s time to vote for the best burger in each of three “regions” of New York State.
According to newyorkupstate.com, they counted comments on last week’s Best Burger article, on their Facebook page, and on Twitter, and created polls for three regions with the eateries that got the most nominations.
The Ithaca Ale House landed in the list of ten semifinalists for Central New York, along with Liverpool’s Village Burger, Aurora’s Fargo Bar & Grill, and the Blarney Stone in Syracuse. There are also Eastern New York (covering the Hudson Valley to the Adirondacks) and Western New York (for the western Finger Lakes and Buffalo-Niagara area) regions.
Contest organizers say they’ll narrow it down to six finalists based on this week’s voting, “and judges will then visit the top six burger joints to taste their patties.” They’ll crown two winners, the judges’ favorite and readers’ choice, at the end of the month.
The Ithaca Ale House on Ithaca’s Restaurant Row always has a great selection of burgers, including regular specials, but we always keep coming back to the Big Sexy, the Bastard Burger, and the Perfect Burger.
We can vote for the finalists until 11:59pm this coming Sunday, June 11th, and everyone can select up to two eateries per regional poll, but can only vote once. Why not vote for both Ithaca Ale House and Fargo?
