16th annual breakfast for Advocacy Center will benefit youth services

This Wednesday morning at Celebrations is the 16th annual “Kids are our Business” fundraising breakfast to benefit the Youth Services programs at the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County.

Last year, organizers tell us over 260 business and human service leaders, therapists, law enforcement and school personnel, and friends and supporters of the Advocacy Center attended the event, which raises money to support children and teens impacted by sexual abuse and domestic violence in Tompkins County.

Raffle prizes at the event this week will include gift certificates to Mimi’s Attic, Mama Goose, Purity, Gola Osteria, Falls Tavern, Felicia’s Hive 45, the Watershed, and Sahara, as well as plants from Native Exotics, artwork by Melissa Zarem, and a four-day pass to the GrassRoots Festival.

Tickets for the 7:30am breakfast are available by contacting events@theadvocacycenter.org, and thanks to donations from sustaining sponsor Mike Carman & Versant Holdings, 100% of the ticket price per person is tax-deductible.
