After news spread of the death of 29-year-old Larry Chap in the wee hours of Monday morning, a “Peace for Larry” GoFundMe page has had 54 donors contribute a total of $2,880 as of this writing toward a goal of $15,000. Organizer Fabina Colon says the effort is “to help Larry’s family cover the funeral and traditional Cambodian ceremony costs.”

In the meantime, friends have placed flowers and cards at the foot of the East State Street tree where the crash occurred.

Colon says, “A lot of love from so many people. From the young to our elders providing food, good memories, and a shoulder to lean on.” She says a funeral has been scheduled for 8:30am on Saturday, June 4, at Perkins Funeral Home.
