UPDATE: Amber Alert canceled after Western New York girl found safe

Update: McKenzie R. Wilson “has been safely recovered,” according to the New York State Police. The Amber Alert has been canceled.

New York State Police believe 12-year-old McKenzie R. Wilson may be “in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death” after being abducted by two teens. NYSP Machias activated the state’s Amber Alert system at 12:20pm.

McKenzie is 12 years and 10 months old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 100 pounds, with straight blonde hair and blue eyes. She was abducted from Shady Lane in Lyndon, New York, near Olean, at about 5am on Tuesday, May 23rd.

A suspect vehicle is a red Chevy Silverado pickup truck with New York license plate CXA5836. The vehicle was stolen near the abduction site and has a black bow tie on the front grille and an extended cab.

A suspect in the abduction are 18-year-old Joshua R. Monette, a white male with short black hair and brown eyes, about 6 feet 2 and about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans, boots, and a black shirt, and carrying a black duffle bag.

Another suspect is 16-year-old John Harvey, a white male with brown hair.

Update: McKenzie was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and cowboy boots with pink on the top. The younger suspect, John Harvey, was last seen wearing a long-sleeve multi-colored t-shirt with a Superman emblem, jeans, and black sneakers.

The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling southeast, possibly toward the Allegany Mountains. Suspects are believed to be armed with handguns.
