Republican presidential primary candidate Ted Cruz will be in western and central New York before Tuesday’s presidential primary election.
Senator Cruz is one of three remaining candidates for the Republican presidential nomination, along with Governor John Kasich of Ohio and Donald Trump. He’ll reportedly be in Buffalo this Thursday, and Rochester and Binghamton on Friday. Cruz spoke in Erie, Pennsylvania on Wednesday.
We understand that Cruz will be attending a town hall meeting with Sean Hannity at the Broome County Forum at 11;15am Friday, with doors opening at 10:15. Cruz is just the second presidential candidate to visit Binghamton since George W. Bush came in 2000 for the St. Patrick’s Day parade, according to the Press & Sun Bulletin. Bernie Sanders visited Binghamton this Monday. The Cruz campaign hasn’t provided details of their events in Buffalo and Rochester.
New York State is holding its presidential primary election for both Democratic and Republican party candidates on Tuesday, April 19.
