Ithaca police say they are looking for a 5-foot-10 man with black, shoulder-length, wavy hair, about 22, in connection with a stabbing that occurred in a Collegetown bar early this morning. The victim was airlifted to a regional trauma center with “a serious knife wound that is not life-threatening.”
Police were dispatched at 1:03am for a report that a person had been stabbed at Level B, a basement bar on Eddy Street. Responding officers located “a patron who had a stab wound to the torso area,” and IPD says the victim was conscious and was treated by Bangs Ambulance and Ithaca Fire Department EMTs.
Bangs Ambulance transported the 21-year-old male victim to a landing zone at Titus Flats for airlifting, and police “took one person into custody,” but questioned and released him. They say the 5-foot-10 man they’re looking for has medium complexion and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
