Senator Bernie Sanders is adding campaign stops in Syracuse and Rochester to the events already planned for Binghamton and Buffalo this week.
We announced last week that the candidate for president will be speaking in Binghamton and Buffalo on Monday, at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton and the University at Buffalo Alumni Arena in Buffalo.
Tuesday’s events are at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex at Monroe Community College in Rochester, with doors opening at 7am, and at the War Memorial at the OnCenter in Syracuse, with doors opening at 11am.
We understand that Senator Sanders will be speaking at about 10am at the Rochester event and about 2pm at the Syracuse event.
Tickets are not required for Sanders events, but admission is first-come, first-served. Organizers ask attendees to limit what they bring to small personal items like keys and cell phones, and leave bags at home or in their cars. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security.
Over the last week and a half, nearly 3,000 people have signed a petition suggesting Sanders should speak in Ithaca.
