Welcome April to Ithaca with a trip to the waterfront as the Ithaca Farmers Market returns to Steamboat Landing! The main market location is open 9am-3pm on Saturdays from April through October.
“We have a bunch of new vendors,” says Ithaca Farmers Market manager Aaron Munzer, though he says “not all of them will be down there on day 1” as the market returns outdoors tomorrow after spending the winter indoors at the Space at GreenStar.
The new vendors include TBD Farms, Birdskog Farms, Mana Said Hand Pies, Hudson Cake Studio, Yum Yum Korea, Waxing Moon Aromatics, Lucky Hare Brewing, and Boo Radley’s Garden.
As always, the Ithaca Farmers Market includes some local farms, local craft sellers and artists, area wine and beer and cider producers, and prepared food vendors so you can have brunch or lunch while you shop.
There’s also live music scheduled every week, with Jane Doe slated to play in the pavilion this Saturday. Aaron says some upcoming highlights include the Yamatai Japanese drumming group on April 15 and the Big Red Marching Band on April 22.
Sunday hours will run from May through November, and the Thursday “night market” will be open from July through September this year.
