A new weekly drop-in session starts up next week, as non-native English speakers are invited to the Tompkins County Public Library for informal conversation and refreshments.
The “ESL Snack and Chat” sessions will be every Wednesday from 3:45-5pm in the BorgWarner Community Room West, from March 1 through April 12. There is no session on April 5. The relaxed setting will let non-native English speakers practice their conversation and listening skills.
The Snack and Chat sessions are free. It’s open to speakers of English as a second language, of all ages and abilities, who want “to improve their English or willing to serve as conversation partners for others.”
The Tompkins County Public Library is on the corner of East Green Street and South Cayuga Street in Downtown Ithaca. Refreshments are provided.
