State Police in Ithaca working on credit card fraud case

The New York State Police says Troop C investigators in Ithaca and Homer are working to identify two people wanted for making unlawful purchases using fake credit cards created by skimming real cards used by their owners.

According to a news release from the State Police, they believe the suspects skimmed credit cards and used the data to create cards that could be used to make unlawful purchases.

The fake cards were used to make unlawful purchases at Walmart stores in Watkins Glen and Painted Post.

Anyone who could help identify these two people is asked to call New York State Police at 607-346-4441 and refer to case #7947954.
