Tompkins Health Dept and SPCA offering free rabies clinic Wednesday

Got a dog, cat, or ferret? The Tompkins County Health Department and SPCA of Tompkins County are teaming up to offer another free rabies vaccination clinic this Wednesday night.

tompkins-healthThe free rabies clinic is this Wednesday from 6-8pm at the SPCA of Tompkins County. If your pet is due for a rabies vaccination, or if you’re not sure, this is a good opportunity to get up to date at no cost.

SPCA volunteers will be on hand at each event to make ID tags and distribute low-cost spay and neuter applications. Bring proof of prior vaccination with you if you’d like to receive a three-year certification.

This follows a series of clinics around the county in September and October. Additional clinics will take place in Lansing, Dryden, Danby, Enfield, and Ithaca in the spring.

The clinic is at the SPCA’s Pet Adoption Center at 1640 Hanshaw Road on Wednesday, January 24 from 6-8pm.

More information is available from the Tompkins County Health Department at 607-274-6688, and online pre-registration is available at the health department website.
