The Sciencenter, Ithaca’s hands-on science museum, just rolled out their new Sonic Sensations exhibit, all about experiencing and creating sound, and it’s available as part of Sunday’s free admission offer.
“Come make some noise at our new featured exhibition, Sonic Sensation,” says the Sciencenter website. “Experience our sonic world while exploring the science of sound. Experiment with pitch, test your own hearing, create a movie soundtrack, and test your lung power in the Scream Chamber!”
Admission to the Sciencenter is free for everyone this Sunday, January 14, and they’re open 12-5pm.
The Sciencenter opened late on Saturday due to the weather, and canceled a scheduled dog behavior showtime event.
After free Sunday, the Sciencenter will be open 10am-5pm on Monday, January 15 for Martin Luther King Day. The Sciencenter is at 601 First Street on Ithaca’s northside, near Franklin Plaza just off Route 13.
