The Ithaca Farmers Market has hosted an indoor winter market for the last several years. This year’s Saturday market opens tomorrow, and it’s joined by a brand new Sunday market taking place right downtown.
Ithaca Farmers Market’s offering runs Saturdays from 10:30am-2pm until the end of March, and takes place at the Space at GreenStar, at the corner of Fulton Street and Court Street in Ithaca’s west end.
The winter market has a smaller selection of vendors than the weekend market at Steamboat Landing the rest of the year, but still includes fresh produce, baked goods, prepared food, and more.
New this winter is the Fingerlakes Winter Farmers Market, which will offer local produce, eggs, meat, crafts, and even wine and beer tastings. This market will run Sundays from 11am-2pm, from this Sunday through the end of March, at Coltivare on South Cayuga Street in Downtown Ithaca. Organizers say there’s free parking in the city-owned parking garage right upstairs, and brunch is available at Coltivare during the market.
